On a €100 first deposit, the welcome bonuses at the casinos we rate pay back between about €65 and €140 on average, by our own simulation of 50,000 players per bonus on a 96% RTP slot. Snatch, mBit and BitStarz come out on top because their wagering is lower or the bonus is bigger, and iWild comes last because its cashout cap cuts off the big wins. Whichever bonus you take, only 10% to 24% of players finish the wagering with money left: the rest lose their deposit along the way.
Last checked: 14 October 2026, when we ran each casino’s published first-deposit terms through our own simulation (50,000 players per bonus). The terms are the ones in our reviews, checked against at least two independent sources in our weekly casino watch on 12 October 2026 and re-checked at the source for Immerion, YBets, BitStarz, Casoo and iWild on 14 October 2026.
Which casino bonus is worth the most after wagering?
Snatch, with mBit and BitStarz level just behind; the gap between the three is only a few euros. The table ranks each first-deposit bonus by what a player walks away with on average from a €100 deposit, once the wagering is finished or the money has run out. Where sources quote different terms, we ran both and show the range, and the rank uses the middle of it.
| # | Casino (our score) | Bonus on a €100 deposit | Wagering and total bets | Average cash-out from €100 | Chance to finish wagering |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Snatch (9.8) | €200 (200%) | 30x to 35x deposit + bonus: €9,000 to €10,500 | €110 to €140 | 17% to 20% |
| 2 | mBit (8.8) | €100 to €125 (100% to 125%) | 40x the bonus: €4,000 to €5,000 | €120 to €130 | 23% to 24% |
| 3 | BitStarz (9.5) | €100 to €125 (100% to 125%) | 40x the bonus: €4,000 to €5,000 | €120 to €130 | 23% to 24% |
| 4 | YBets (9.8) | €200 (200%) | 30x to 60x deposit + bonus: €9,000 to €18,000 | €90 to €140 | 10% to 20% |
| 5 | Tsars (9.3) | €100 (100%) | 30x deposit + bonus: €6,000 | €105 | 18% |
| 6 | Rolling Slots (8.0) | €110 (110%) | 45x (bonus or deposit + bonus): €4,950 to €9,450 | €90 to €120 | 12% to 22% |
| 7 | Need for Spin (8.0) | €100 to €120 (100% to 120%) | 45x (bonus or deposit + bonus): €4,500 to €9,900 | €85 to €120 | 12% to 22% |
| 8 | Wild Tokyo (8.8) | €100 (100%) | 45x the bonus to 50x deposit + bonus: €4,500 to €10,000 | €80 to €115 | 11% to 22% |
| 9 | Immerion (9.8) | €100 (100%) | 30x to 40x deposit + bonus: €6,000 to €8,000 | €90 to €105 | 14% to 18% |
| 10 | Casoo (8.5) | €100 (100%) | 25x deposit + bonus: €5,000; sticky (the bonus is removed when you cash out) | €90 | 20% |
| 11 | iWild (9.8) | €100 (100%) | 30x to 35x deposit + bonus: €6,000 to €7,000; cash-out capped at 5x to 10x the bonus | €65 to €100 | 15% to 18% |
Two things decide most of the ranking. First, wagering on the bonus only is far cheaper than wagering on deposit plus bonus: 40x a €100 bonus means €4,000 of bets, while 30x a €100 deposit plus €100 bonus means €6,000. Second, a cap on what you can cash out removes the big wins that lift the average. iWild’s terms cap bonus cashouts at 5x the bonus (€500 here) in one version and 10x (€1,000) in another, so its result runs from about €65 with the lower cap to €100 with the higher one. Casoo’s terms say its bonuses are sticky: the bonus money is lost when you withdraw, which takes about €20 off its average and moves it from fifth to tenth.
Payout speed matters as much as bonus maths. We have tested real withdrawals at Tsars (all within 12 hours, July 2026), Casoo (about €40 in Bitcoin in under 30 minutes, August 2026) and iWild (€771 in USDT almost instantly, March 2026). Our casino withdrawal problems guide lists all five of our payout tests.

Are casino bonuses worth it?
On average a little, but most players lose their deposit before the wagering ends. In our simulation a typical 100% bonus with 30x deposit-plus-bonus wagering returned about €105 from a €100 deposit, yet only 18% of players finished the wagering. The average is carried by the few who hit a big win early; for most, the deposit is gone.
So take a bonus only if you are happy to treat the deposit as spent. If you want to be able to withdraw your own money at any time, play without one: with deposit-plus-bonus wagering your deposit is usually locked in until the wagering is done.
How we worked out each bonus’s value
- Deposit: €100, with the first-deposit match from each casino’s terms (free spins left out).
- Game: a slot with 96% RTP that counts 100% towards wagering, played at €1 a spin, which is under every max-bet rule in these terms (€2 to €10).
- Volatility: medium, using the same payout model as our slot session simulator (a spread of 7 per €1 spin).
- Play: each simulated player spins until the wagering is complete or the balance drops below €1. What is left at the end is the cash-out.
- Caps: where a casino publishes a maximum cashout on bonus play, we applied it (iWild and Snatch 5x to 10x the bonus).
- Sticky bonuses: where the terms say the bonus money is lost when you withdraw (Casoo), we took the bonus off the cash-out.
- Ranges: where sources disagree on the multiple, or on whether it applies to the bonus or to deposit plus bonus, we ran both and show the range.
- Sample: 50,000 simulated players per case. Differences of less than about €5 between casinos are within the noise.
Why the simple formula looks much worse
The usual shortcut, which our wagering requirement calculator also shows, is bonus minus total bets times the house edge. For a €100 bonus at 30x deposit plus bonus that is €100 − (€6,000 × 4%) = −€140. That is the average cost if you could keep playing forever. In real play you stop when your balance hits zero, so you can never lose more than the €200 in your account, and the few players who finish with a big balance pull the average back up. The simulation counts both, which is why its figures are higher.
Does slot volatility change the result?
Yes: high-volatility slots raise the average cash-out but make finishing the wagering less likely. Low-volatility slots give you more spins but almost never enough wins to beat high wagering.
| Bonus on a €100 deposit | Low volatility | Medium volatility | High volatility |
|---|---|---|---|
| 100% bonus, 30x deposit + bonus (e.g. Tsars) | €55 (25%) | €105 (18%) | €145 (10%) |
| 100% bonus, 40x the bonus (e.g. mBit, BitStarz) | €85 (41%) | €120 (24%) | €155 (14%) |
Whatever you play, check the bonus terms first: some casinos exclude bonus-buy features, jackpots or low-risk bets while you wager. Our highest RTP slots list helps you pick games that lose less per spin.
Bonuses we have not ranked
- 1win (9.9): a 500% bonus over the first four deposits, usually with 30x wagering on the bonus amount, but the split between deposits and the way bonus money moves to your real balance vary by country, so one figure would mislead. Our 1win promo code page explains how it works with the code Ultragambler. 1win also paid our crypto withdrawal in 15 minutes (June 2026).
- FortuneJack (9.3): the 500% package is paid largely as free spins, and their value depends on the spin size, so it can’t go on the same scale. Its wagering is the lowest of the casinos we rate: 10x the deposit, or €1,000 of bets on a €100 deposit, which costs about €40 on average on a 96% slot. See our FortuneJack promo code page.
- 1xBet (9.0): the casino offer differs too much between countries to compare.
- Bethall, Betspino and JustBit: we could not confirm their licences in a regulator’s own records, so we leave them out of the ranking until we can.
Better value than a welcome bonus: cashback
Cashback with low or no wagering keeps almost all of its face value. 1win pays up to 30% of weekly slot losses back with 1x wagering at most (two sources say none), and Immerion pays 10% daily plus 10% weekly at 3x. At 3x, €20 of cashback costs about €2.40 to clear on a 96% slot. Our casino cashback guide compares every offer, and our no wagering casinos list covers offers with no wagering at all.
Casino bonus value FAQs
Which casino bonus is worth the most?
In our simulation on 14 October 2026, Snatch, mBit and BitStarz returned the most from a €100 first deposit, about €110 to €140 on average. The differences between them are small.
What is a casino bonus really worth?
Much less than its face value. The bonuses we ranked returned about €65 to €140 on average from a €100 deposit in our simulation, depending on the terms, and most players lost the deposit before finishing the wagering.
Is wagering on the bonus only better than on deposit plus bonus?
Yes. 40x a €100 bonus means €4,000 of bets, but 30x a €100 deposit plus €100 bonus means €6,000, so the deposit-plus-bonus version costs more even with a lower multiple.
Do high-volatility slots help you clear a bonus?
They raise the average cash-out, because a big win can carry you through the wagering, but fewer players finish. In our runs a 100% bonus at 30x deposit plus bonus was finished by 25% of players on a low-volatility slot and 10% on a high-volatility one.
Do free spins count in your ranking?
No. Free spin values and their wagering differ too much between casinos, so the ranking covers the deposit match only. Spins add a little on top.
How often is this ranking updated?
We re-run the numbers when our weekly casino watch finds a change in these casinos’ first-deposit terms.

Check your local laws before you play
Online gambling laws differ from country to country, and in some places it is restricted or not permitted. Check that online gambling is legal where you live and that the casino accepts players from your country. You must be 18 or older (or the legal age where you live, if higher).
