Quick answer: paste a casino bonus’s terms and conditions into the checker below and it highlights, in plain English, the clauses that can cost you money: the wagering multiple and whether it applies to the bonus or to deposit plus bonus, the max bet, win caps, excluded games, time limits, sticky bonuses and vague “bonus abuse” wording. It runs entirely in your browser, so nothing you paste is sent to us or stored.
Private: the check runs only in your browser. Nothing you paste is sent to us or anyone else, and nothing is saved.
A reading aid, not legal advice: always read the full terms yourself before you deposit. 18+. Check your local laws.
Tested on 14 October 2026: we ran this checker on the bonus terms published by 7 casinos we rate and checked the key clauses by hand against each casino’s own text. The results are in the table further down.
What does the bonus terms checker look for?
It looks for more than 20 kinds of clause and sorts them into traps (can cost you winnings you already have), things to watch (make the bonus cost more or take longer) and notes. The most important ones are below.
| Clause | What it means for you | Level |
|---|---|---|
| Max bet while wagering | Each bet must stay under a limit while the bonus is active; one bet over it can void the bonus and its winnings. | Trap |
| Max cash-out or win cap | You can only withdraw up to a fixed amount or a multiple of the bonus, however much you win. | Trap |
| Sticky (non-cashable) bonus | The bonus itself is removed when you withdraw; you keep only the winnings above it. | Trap |
| Withdrawing before wagering is done | Asking for a withdrawal early can cancel the bonus and everything won with it. | Trap |
| Excluded or restricted games | Playing them with a bonus active can break the terms. | Trap |
| Bonus abuse or “sole discretion” clause | Vague wording that lets the casino cancel bonus winnings if it judges your play irregular. | Trap |
| Wagering on deposit + bonus | Doubles the betting on a 100% match compared with wagering on the bonus only. | Trap |
| Wagering multiple | How many times you must bet the bonus before you can withdraw it. | Watch |
| Game contribution | Some games count only part of each bet towards wagering, or nothing at all. | Watch |
| Time limits | Unfinished wagering or unused spins expire. | Watch |
| Payment methods that don’t qualify | Deposits by some e-wallets or cards may get no bonus. | Watch |
| Free spins winnings, one bonus per household, terms that can change, withdrawal limits, deposit needed before withdrawal | Smaller catches that reduce what the offer is worth or slow you down. | Watch |
| Minimum deposit, country limits, ID checks, minimum odds, bonus codes, which money is used first, deposit played once | Rules to know before you deposit. | Note |
Which bonus terms are the biggest traps?
The clauses that take away money you have already won: the max bet rule, a max cash-out cap, a sticky bonus and forfeiting the bonus if you withdraw early. High wagering makes a bonus expensive, but these four can turn a big win into a small one, or into nothing.
- Max bet: a common cap is around €5 per spin or hand, and some casinos use a share of the bonus instead. Breaking it even once can void the bonus and its winnings.
- Max cash-out: no-deposit and free-spin offers are often capped at a fixed amount, and some deposit bonuses at a multiple such as 5x the bonus. Anything above the cap is removed.
- Sticky bonus: the bonus can be played with but is removed from your balance when you cash out, so a €100 sticky bonus is worth less than a €100 cashable one with the same wagering.
- Withdrawing early: asking for a withdrawal before the wagering is finished can cancel the bonus and everything won with it, so finish the wagering or cancel the bonus first.
High wagering is the other big cost. 35x deposit + bonus on a €100 deposit with a 100% match is €7,000 of bets, against €3,500 for 35x the bonus only. On a 96% RTP slot that is about €280 of expected loss instead of €140. Work out your own offer with our wagering requirement calculator.
What did the checker find in real casino bonus terms?
All 7 sets of bonus terms we ran through the checker on 14 October 2026 had a wagering requirement, a bonus abuse clause and a cap on winnings from at least some bonuses, but only 2 of the 7 gave a max bet amount in the text we read. We pasted the bonus terms each casino publishes on its own website, then checked the key clauses by hand against the casino’s text. The table shows what the terms said on that date; offers differ by country and change often, so the casino’s own page on the day you claim is what counts.
| Casino (terms read 14 Oct 2026) | Max bet while wagering | Win caps in the terms | Sticky bonus wording |
|---|---|---|---|
| BitStarz | None found in the bonus terms page | Winnings from free (no-deposit) bonuses and spins capped at 100 EUR/USD | No |
| Casoo | €5 per spin (€0.50 per bet line) | No-deposit free spins capped at €50; Casoo may limit withdrawals of welcome-package winnings to €500 a week | Yes: “All the bonuses at Casoo are sticky” |
| mBit | 0.003 BTC (28 USDT) | Welcome package free spins wins capped (for example 50 USDT) | No |
| Immerion, iWild, Snatch, YBets | A max bet limit applies, but the bonus policy gives no amount | No-deposit winnings capped at 100 EUR; deposit bonuses limited by a max cash-out set for each offer | No |
None of this is unusual: these are standard clauses, and they are why we tell readers to check the max bet before the first spin. Where a policy gives no max bet amount, look for it in the offer itself or ask support before you play. Our reviews list each casino’s current welcome offer and wagering.
How to use the bonus terms checker
- Open the offer’s own terms on the casino site. Copy the offer terms and the general bonus terms (often a separate “Bonus Policy” or “Bonus Terms” page), because the max bet and win caps are often only in the general part.
- Paste everything into the box and press Check the terms.
- Read the summary: the wagering, max bet, max cash-out, shortest time limit and minimum deposit it found, plus quick maths on a €100 deposit.
- Go through the cards, worst first, and press Show in the text to read each clause in full. Anything listed under “Not found” is worth asking support about before you deposit.
- Put the numbers into the wagering calculator to see what the bonus is worth on average, and check the bonus time and stakes checker if the time limit looks tight.
Before you pick an offer, compare what each welcome bonus is really worth after wagering in our casino bonus value ranking, see the offers with little or no wagering in our no wagering casinos list, and read our welcome bonus guide for every term in more detail. If a casino has already removed your winnings, our guide to casino withdrawal problems explains what to do next.
How we checked this
- A sticky bonus is removed from your balance when you cash out, and breaking the max bet rule can void the bonus and its winnings: DeucesCracked and VIP-Grinders.
- Max bet caps of around €5 are common, slots usually count 100% towards wagering and table or live games often much less: DeucesCracked, Casino Guru and VIP-Grinders.
- Max cash-out caps limit how much of a bonus win you can withdraw, often as a fixed amount on free spins or a multiple of the bonus or deposit: VIP-Grinders and DeucesCracked.
- Wagering on deposit plus bonus doubles the betting on a 100% match: VIP-Grinders; the €7,000, €3,500, €280 and €140 figures are our own sums (bet total × 4% house edge on a 96% slot).
- The table of real terms comes from each casino’s own bonus terms or bonus policy page, read on 14 October 2026. The checker’s results are our own; it reads wording, so treat it as a reading aid, not legal advice.

Bonus terms checker FAQs
Is the text I paste sent anywhere?
No. The checker is a small script that runs in your own browser. The text never leaves your device, it is not saved, and it is gone when you press Clear or close the page.
What is a sticky bonus?
A sticky (non-cashable) bonus can be played with but never withdrawn: it is removed from your balance when you cash out, and you keep only the winnings above it. A non-sticky bonus keeps your own money separate, so you can usually withdraw cash winnings and give up the bonus.
Why does the checker say “Not found”?
The clause was not in the text you pasted. Many casinos keep the max bet, win caps and game rules in a separate general bonus policy, so paste that too. If it is still missing, ask support in writing before you deposit and keep their answer.
Can a casino cancel my winnings for breaking the max bet rule?
Yes, if the terms say so, and most bonus terms do. One bet above the limit while the bonus is active can be enough to void the bonus and the winnings made with it, so set your stake below the cap before you start.
Does it work for sports betting bonuses and other languages?
It reads English wording and also spots sportsbook terms such as minimum odds. Terms in other languages will mostly come back as “Not found”, so use the casino’s English version if it has one.
Is a bonus with these clauses a scam?
No. Wagering, max bet rules and win caps are standard in casino bonus terms. They are not a sign of a bad casino, but they decide what the bonus is worth to you, so read them before you opt in. Only gamble with money you can afford to lose; our responsible gambling page has tools and support.
Check your local laws before you play
Online gambling laws differ from country to country, and in some places it is restricted or not permitted. Check that online gambling is legal where you live and that the casino accepts players from your country. You must be 18 or older (or the legal age where you live, if higher).
