How does the Sugar Rush meter work?
Every candy in a winning cluster adds 1 to the meter, and it counts across the cascades of one game round:
- 6: 2 candies become Wilds.
- 13: 2 Striped Wilds appear, which clear lines of candies when they win.
- 25: 2 Dotted Wilds appear. When one is part of a win, every candy of one type is removed from the grid.
- 38: the Mix the Elixir bonus round starts.
How does Mix the Elixir work?
The bonus is played on a larger 9×9 grid. On spins that do not win, the alchemist casts a spell, up to 7 times in the round:
- Mixed Candy: shuffles the candies on the board.
- Sweet Surprise: turns 7 to 12 candies into wilds.
- Sugar Bomb: removes 7 to 15 candies so new ones drop in.
The round also sets two target candy types. Collect enough clusters of them and you open Elixir of Power, a chocolate pick game: pick squares until three matching elixirs show, over 3 levels, for prizes of 2x to 10x your bet.
What is the treasure chest?
After you have played the bonus 3 times, the treasure chest unlocks and pays 15% of your base-game winnings since the last chest. It rewards longer sessions rather than single spins.
Tips for playing Sweet Alchemy
- The meter only counts within one round of cascades, so long chains, not single wins, are what reach 38.
- Dotted Wilds at 25 can clear a whole candy type and set up the last 13 points to the bonus.
- The treasure chest needs 3 bonus rounds, so it only matters if you play for a while.
- Check the info screen for 96.52%; the 94.50% version looks the same.
