Quick verdict: Premium Roulette is Playtech’s take on classic European roulette: one wheel with 37 pockets (numbers 1–36 plus a single zero), clean graphics and quick spins. Because there’s only one zero, the house edge is 2.70% (an RTP of 97.30%), almost half that of American roulette. Premium Roulette bets and payouts
| Bet | Covers | Payout | Chance to win |
|---|---|---|---|
| Straight up | 1 number | 35:1 | 2.7% |
| Split | 2 numbers | 17:1 | 5.4% |
| Street | 3 numbers | 11:1 | 8.1% |
| Corner | 4 numbers | 8:1 | 10.8% |
| Six line | 6 numbers | 5:1 | 16.2% |
| Dozen / Column | 12 numbers | 2:1 | 32.4% |
| Red / Black, Odd / Even, 1–18 / 19–36 | 18 numbers | 1:1 | 48.6% |
The zero is what gives the casino its edge: even-money bets lose when the ball lands on 0, so they win 18 times out of 37 rather than half the time.
European vs American roulette
| European (Premium Roulette) | American | |
|---|---|---|
| Pockets | 37 (single zero) | 38 (zero and double zero) |
| House edge | 2.70% | 5.26% |
| RTP | 97.30% | 94.74% |
Always choose a single-zero table when you have the option. Over time, American roulette costs you nearly twice as much for the same game.
Roulette strategy: what works and what doesn’t
- No system beats the wheel. Martingale (doubling after a loss), Fibonacci and similar systems change how your wins and losses are spread out, not the 2.70% edge. Martingale in particular can wipe out a bankroll fast during a losing streak, or hit the table limit.
- Past spins don’t matter. Each spin is independent. Five reds in a row don’t make black “due”.
- Choose your risk level. Even-money bets give frequent small wins; straight-up bets give rare big wins. The house edge is the same, so pick the style you enjoy.
- Set a budget and stop-loss before you start, and practise on the free demo first.

Premium Roulette FAQs
What is the RTP of Premium Roulette?
97.30%, the standard for single-zero European roulette, which means a house edge of 2.70% on every bet.
Is Premium Roulette European or American?
European. The wheel has a single zero and 37 pockets in total.
Can I play Premium Roulette for free?
Yes. Use the free demo at the top of this page. No sign-up or deposit is needed.
What is the best bet in roulette?
On a single-zero wheel, every bet has the same 2.70% house edge, so there’s no mathematically “best” bet. Even-money bets win most often; single numbers pay the most.
Does the Martingale system work?
No. It produces frequent small wins but occasional very large losses, and it can’t overcome the house edge or the table’s maximum bet.
Check your local laws before you play
Online gambling laws differ from country to country, and in some places it is restricted or not permitted at all. Before you sign up to any casino listed on UltraGambler, check that online gambling is legal where you live and that the casino accepts players from your country. You must be 18 or older (or the legal gambling age in your country, if higher) to play. Only gamble with money you can afford to lose, and use the deposit limits and self-exclusion tools your casino provides if gambling stops being fun.
