What is a Tron casino?
A Tron casino is an online casino that accepts TRX, the native coin of the TRON blockchain, and usually USDT on Tron (TRC20). TRON was founded by Justin Sun; its mainnet launched in 2018, and it produces a new block about every three seconds, which is why Tron deposits and withdrawals usually confirm within about a minute.
The term is also used for “Tron dApp casinos”: gambling apps that ran directly on the blockchain. Around 2019 they dominated Tron’s app activity, with gaming making up most of the $4.4 billion of dApp volume recorded on Tron that year. Some of those unlicensed apps vanished; in April 2019 one, DooTron, went offline and its tokens became worthless. Tron network fees explained
- Bandwidth and energy: TRON charges in two resources. Bandwidth covers the size of a transaction, and every account gets a small free allowance each day. Energy covers smart-contract actions, such as sending USDT.
- No energy? TRX is burned: if your wallet hasn’t staked TRX for energy, the network burns TRX from your balance to pay the fee. That’s why you need some TRX in your own wallet to send USDT.
- Fees were cut in 2025: from 29 August 2025, TRON lowered the energy price from 210 to 100 sun, cutting typical fees by roughly half or more.
