Quick answer: A GCash casino is any online casino that lets you deposit and withdraw with GCash, the Philippines’ most popular e-wallet. If you are in the Philippines, only PAGCOR-licensed sites can legally take your bets, so check the licence before you check the cashier. Since August 2025, GCash no longer shows gambling links inside its app, so you pay from the casino’s own cashier, and licensed sites now ask for a government ID and a selfie before your first deposit. Advertised minimum deposits are usually about ₱50 to ₱100.
Last checked: 11 October 2026, when we re-checked the central bank’s e-wallet order and PAGCOR’s deposit rules against at least two independent news sources each.
Is it legal to use GCash at online casinos?
In the Philippines, online gambling is regulated by PAGCOR, and only PAGCOR-licensed operators can legally serve Filipino players. The minimum age at licensed casinos is 21. The government has also closed down offshore gaming operators (POGOs) and is cracking down on unlicensed sites.
In August 2025, the central bank (BSP) ordered e-wallets to remove in-app links and icons to online gambling platforms, and GCash and Maya complied within days. This removed gambling from the GCash app itself; it was not a complete ban on paying licensed operators, but rules are still changing, so check the latest position.

What changed for GCash gambling in 2025 and 2026?
| When | What happened |
|---|---|
| 14 August 2025 | The central bank (BSP) gave e-wallets 48 hours to remove in-app links to online gambling sites, until it finalises its policy on gambling payments. |
| August 2025 | GCash and Maya said they had met the deadline. Gambling icons disappeared from both apps. |
| Days later | PAGCOR said licensed online gaming transactions had dropped by about 50%. |
| Early 2026 | PAGCOR tightened its rules: players at licensed sites must show a valid government ID and take a real-time selfie before they can deposit. PAGCOR was asking the BSP to allow in-app links again, with no decision reported. |
What this means for you: GCash still works as a payment method in many licensed casino cashiers, but you can no longer open a casino from inside the GCash app. Get your ID ready before you sign up, because you will need it before your first deposit, not just before your first withdrawal.
How to deposit with GCash
- Step 1: sign up at a PAGCOR-licensed site and verify your account with a government ID and a selfie. Licensed sites need this before your first deposit.
- Step 2: open the cashier and choose GCash (or GCash QR).
- Step 3: enter the amount, then approve the payment in your GCash app or by scanning the QR code.
Deposits usually arrive within seconds. Withdrawals back to GCash may need identity verification (KYC) first.
What is the minimum deposit at GCash casinos?
| Detail | What to expect |
|---|---|
| Advertised minimum deposit | Usually about ₱50 to ₱100, depending on the site; check the cashier |
| Before your first deposit | Government ID and a live selfie at licensed sites |
| Deposit speed | Usually instant |
| Fees | Usually none from the casino; check GCash’s own fees and limits |
| Withdrawals | Need a verified account; speed depends on the site |
GCash has its own wallet limits too. It updated them on 1 October 2026: you can see yours in the app under Profile, then Profile Limits, and a fully verified adult account can go up to ₱500,000, according to GCash’s help centre.
Low minimum deposits make it easy to start small, but check the bonus terms: many sites need a bigger deposit to trigger a welcome bonus. See our welcome bonus guide.
Which online casinos accept GCash?
If you are in the Philippines, the only GCash casinos you should use are ones on PAGCOR’s list of licensed online operators. To check a site:
- Look for the PAGCOR seal on its homepage and click it. It should take you to PAGCOR’s own website.
- Find the operator’s name on the licensed list at pagcor.ph. If it is not there, treat the site as unlicensed.
- Open the cashier after you sign up and check that GCash (or GCash QR) is listed, along with the minimum deposit and withdrawal amounts.
We don’t publish a ranked list of GCash casinos. We have not tested GCash payments ourselves, and the minimum deposits that sites advertise change often, so we could not confirm them for each casino from two independent sources. The cashier is always the up-to-date answer.
Some international sites, such as 1xBet, also list GCash among their payment methods, according to review sites. Unless an international casino holds a PAGCOR licence, it cannot legally serve players in the Philippines, so check the licence first.
Making a small bankroll last
- Pick low-volatility slots, which pay smaller wins more often. See our types of slots guide.
- Check the RTP and favour games around 96% or higher; see our highest RTP slots.
- Avoid progressive jackpots on a small budget, as their base-game RTP is often lower.
- Set a deposit limit before you start, and stop when you reach it.

| Pros | Cons |

GCash casino FAQs
Why can’t I find casinos in the GCash app any more?
In August 2025 the central bank told e-wallets to remove all in-app links to gambling sites within 48 hours, and GCash complied. You now pay from the casino’s own cashier instead.
Do I need ID to deposit with GCash at a casino?
Yes, at PAGCOR-licensed sites. You need a valid government ID and a real-time selfie before your first deposit.
Can I still use GCash for online casinos?
Gambling links were removed from the GCash app in August 2025, but some licensed sites still let you pay with GCash from their own cashier. Only use PAGCOR-licensed sites if you are in the Philippines.
What is the minimum GCash deposit?
Sites usually advertise about ₱50 to ₱100. The exact amount is shown in each casino’s cashier once you sign up, and a welcome bonus often needs a bigger deposit.
Is it safe to use GCash at casinos?
GCash means you don’t share card details with the site, but safety depends on the casino. Only use licensed operators.
Does 1xBet accept GCash?
Review sites list GCash among 1xBet’s payment methods. If you are in the Philippines, only use sites that hold a PAGCOR licence, and check the site’s licence before you deposit.
Important: check your local laws before you play
Online gambling laws differ from country to country, and in some places it is restricted or not permitted at all. Check that online gambling is legal where you live and that the casino accepts players from your country. You must be 18 or older (or the legal gambling age in your country, if higher). Only gamble with money you can afford to lose.
