Base game: scatters, hooks and a monster truck
- Paylines: 10 fixed lines that pay from the leftmost reel. The monster truck is the top symbol at 200x your stake for five, and it is the only symbol that also pays for two in a row.
- Other symbols: the chainsaw pays 100x for five, the mosquito and the tackle box 50x, and the dead fish 20x. The royals (A, K, Q, J and 10) pay 5x to 10x for five.
- Dead fish: in the base game they are ordinary line symbols. Their cash values, from 2x up to 5,000x your stake, only count in free spins.
- Two-scatter helpers: when two bass scatters land, one of two random features can try to find the third. A hook can pull a reel up to show a scatter, or the scatters can drop one row while the other reels spin again. Neither is guaranteed.
- Zombie fisherman wild: substitutes for the paying symbols, but he only appears in free spins. The base game has no wild.
- Hit rate: about 1 win in every 7.32 spins (13.66%), according to Bigwinboard, SlotCatalog and OLBG.
Cash Collect free spins and the fisherman trail
Three, four or five scatters start the free spins with 10, 15 or 20 spins. Bigwinboard, SlotCatalog and OLBG all put the trigger rate at about 1 in 113 base game spins.
- Before the first spin, the game can hand out up to five modifiers, or none at all: More Fish, More Fisherman, More Dynamites, Hooks and Chainsaws, Start from Level 2 (so the 2x multiplier is on from the start), and +2 Spins, which adds 2 spins now and 2 more on every retrigger.
- Dead fish now carry cash values between 2x and 5,000x your stake. The rarest are 1,666x, 2,500x and 5,000x.
- Any zombie fisherman who lands collects the value of every fish on screen.
- Each fisherman also fills the meter above the reels. The 4th, 8th and 12th each add 10 free spins and raise the fish multiplier to 2x, then 3x, then 10x. The extra spins play once the current batch is finished.
- Three random features can fix a dead spin. Dynamite throws fish onto the reels when a fisherman lands without any; the hook drags up a fisherman when fish land without one; and the chainsaw can change all the non-wild symbols when a fisherman has no fish to collect.
- Level 4 is the end of the trail, so there are no more retriggers after the 10x multiplier. With five scatters and the +2 Spins modifier, the most you can play is 22 + 12 + 12 + 12 = 58 free spins, the same total OLBG gives.
Bonus buy: yes, where the casino offers it. It costs 100x your stake, and the bought spin lands a random 3, 4 or 5 scatters, so you get 10, 15 or 20 free spins. It is not available in every market. More games with this option are on our bonus buy slots page.
96.71%, 95.67% or 94.6%: which version are you playing?
Check the paytable, because the game comes in three versions. Pragmatic Play’s own page quotes 96.71%, and so do PokerListings, VegasSlotsOnline and Casinos.com. Bigwinboard, SlotCatalog and OLBG also list 95.67% and 94.6%, and SlotCatalog marks 95.67% as its default. OLBG lists the same three figures for Big Bass Splash, which Bigwinboard says this sequel is built on. Moving from 96.71% to 94.6% raises the house edge from 3.29% to 5.4%, so the cheapest version keeps more than 1.6 times as much of your stake over the long run. The paytable or game info screen shows which version your casino runs.

How we checked this
- RTP and max win: Pragmatic Play, Bigwinboard, SlotCatalog, OLBG. PokerListings, VegasSlotsOnline and Casinos.com list only the 96.71% version.
- Layout, bets, release date and volatility: Casinos.com, VegasSlotsOnline, Bigwinboard, SlotCatalog. VegasSlotsOnline gives 23 September 2024 as the release date; most sources say 21 October 2024. OLBG calls the volatility very high; the others say high.
- Free spins, modifiers and the fisherman trail: Bigwinboard, SlotCatalog, OLBG, Gambling.com, plus Pragmatic’s launch details reported by iGaming Business. Pragmatic’s page describes one modifier being picked, while the review sites say anything from none to five. OLBG describes a bazooka feature that the other sources do not mention, so we left it out.
- Sister games: OLBG and Casinos.com for Big Bass Halloween 3; OLBG and PokerListings for the original.
- Figures last checked: 16 October 2026.
