Quick verdict: 7 Monkeys is one of Pragmatic Play’s early slots, from around June 2015. It is about as simple as a modern slot gets: 5 reels, 3 rows, 7 lines, a stacked baboon wild and a banana scatter. The draw is the free spins round, which gives 50, 100 or 150 spins with a multiplier of up to 3x. The catch is the RTP of 92.71%, well below the 96% most new slots offer.

The low RTP
Every source we checked lists 92.71%, and we found no other version. On average that means about 7.3% of your stakes are kept over the long run, against about 4% on a typical 96% slot. If that matters to you, our slot RTP checker lets you compare games.
Free spins
| Banana scatters | Free spins | Win multiplier |
|---|---|---|
| 3 | 50 | 1x |
| 4 | 100 | 2x |
| 5 | 150 | 3x |
FortuneGames and Slotstemple say 3 or more scatters during the round add 15 more spins, but Chipy lists no retrigger, so treat this as unconfirmed.
Wilds and symbols
- Baboon wild: the screaming baboon stands in for everything except the scatter and lands stacked. 5 on a line pay 1,500x your line bet, which is about 214x your total bet.
- Monkeys: the yellow monkey is the best regular symbol at 150x the line bet for 5. The others pay 50x or 15x the line bet for 5.
- Bananas: the scatter pays anywhere and starts free spins.
