Credit Card Casinos: Where You Can Pay by Visa and Mastercard

UltraGambler earns a commission if you sign up through some links on this page. It never changes our ratings. 18+. How we make money

Quick answer: all nine casinos in our table take Visa and Mastercard deposits and can pay winnings back to a card. 1win (9.9/10) is our top pick; 1xBet (9.5/10) has the lowest minimum, about €1 for most methods; and in our own test FortuneJack (9.3/10) paid a Visa withdrawal in about 3 hours. None of the 18 partner casinos we checked lists American Express. Whether you can use a credit card depends on where you live: Great Britain has banned it since 14 April 2020, and many card issuers treat casino deposits as a cash advance, with a fee and interest from day one. A debit card avoids those costs.

Scores match our full reviews. Each fact was checked on 9 October 2026 against at least two independent sources, including the casino’s own terms where we could read them. “Not confirmed” means we couldn’t find two sources that agree, so check the cashier. Eight more of our partners also take Visa and Mastercard deposits. At Ybets, Immerion, Wild Tokyo, Rolling Slots, Need For Spin and JustBit, review sites disagree on card payouts or say they aren’t offered, so plan to withdraw by e-wallet, bank transfer or crypto. Bethall (8/10) and Betspino (7/10) do pay out to cards. mBit is crypto only.

Can you use a credit card at an online casino?

It depends on the law where you live and on your card issuer. In Great Britain, gambling with a credit card has been banned since 14 April 2020, online and in person, including through e-wallets funded by a credit card. Other countries have their own rules, so check yours first.

Even where it’s legal, your bank may say no. Card networks give gambling payments their own merchant code, MCC 7995, and many issuers decline that code by default or let you block it yourself. If that happens, see why a casino deposit gets declined and what to do. Don’t try to get round a block or a national ban: it breaks most casinos’ terms and can get your account closed.

What a credit card deposit really costs

Many card issuers treat a casino deposit like taking out cash. That usually means three extra costs:

  • A cash advance fee, often 3% to 5% of the amount, or a minimum such as £3.
  • Interest from day one. Cash advances usually have no interest-free period, unlike normal purchases.
  • A higher interest rate than you pay on shopping.

So a €100 deposit with a 3% cash advance fee costs €103 before you’ve placed a bet, and interest runs until you pay the card off. The casino itself may also charge: Tsars, for example, takes a fixed €1 on every deposit, whatever the method. Snatch, 1xBet, BitStarz (in most countries) and Casoo don’t charge for card deposits.

A debit card avoids the cash advance problem, because you’re spending your own money. It’s the better choice if your casino accepts both.

Withdrawing to a Visa or Mastercard

Card payouts work, but they’re slower than crypto. BitStarz’s terms say it pays out through Visa’s Original Credit Transfer and Mastercard’s payment transfer service, and FortuneJack’s terms say you may have to withdraw to the same card you deposited with. Review sites list card payouts at roughly one to seven days, depending on the casino.

In our own tests, FortuneJack paid a Visa withdrawal in about 3 hours (June 2026), while crypto was faster still: 1win paid our crypto withdrawal in 15 minutes. If speed matters, see our instant withdrawal casinos.

Visa, Mastercard or American Express?

Visa and Mastercard are accepted at all nine casinos in our table, and Casoo also takes Maestro. None of the 18 partner casinos we checked lists American Express as a payment method, so if Amex is your only card, use another method.

Tips for paying by card

  • Use a debit card if you can, so you’re not paying cash advance fees and interest.
  • Never gamble with borrowed money. If you’re reaching for a credit card to keep playing, stop and see our responsible gambling guide.
  • Set a deposit limit in your casino account before you start.
  • Use your own card in your own name. Payouts usually have to go back to the card or account you paid from.
  • Check the minimum and any fee in the cashier. Our table shows what we could confirm, but figures vary by country.

Which card casino is best for you?

  • Best overall: 1win (9.9/10), with promo code Ultragambler for its welcome package.
  • Lowest minimum: 1xBet, from about €1 for most methods.
  • Fastest card payout we’ve tested: FortuneJack, a Visa withdrawal in about 3 hours.
  • No card deposit fees: Snatch, 1xBet, BitStarz and Casoo.
  • Low deposits in general: see our minimum deposit casinos guide.
  • No card at all: pay with a prepaid voucher at one of our Paysafecard casinos.

Credit card casino FAQs

Can I use a credit card at online casinos?

It depends on where you live and on your card issuer. Great Britain has banned gambling with credit cards since 14 April 2020, and many banks decline gambling payments. Where it’s allowed, all nine casinos in our table accept Visa and Mastercard.

Do casinos charge fees for credit card deposits?

Several of our partners don’t: Snatch, 1xBet, BitStarz (in most countries) and Casoo charge nothing, while Tsars takes €1 per deposit. The bigger cost is often your card issuer, which may treat the deposit as a cash advance with a fee and interest from day one.

Can I withdraw casino winnings to my credit card?

At the nine casinos in our table, yes, though some countries’ cards are excluded and FortuneJack may require the same card you deposited with. Card payouts usually take one to several days; in our test FortuneJack paid a Visa withdrawal in about 3 hours.

Which casinos accept American Express?

None of the 18 partner casinos we checked lists American Express. Use Visa, Mastercard, an e-wallet or crypto instead.

Why was my card declined at a casino?

Gambling payments use their own merchant code (MCC 7995), and many banks block it by default or because you switched on a gambling block. Our deposit declined guide explains the options.

Check your local laws before you play

Online gambling laws differ from country to country, and in some places it is restricted or not permitted at all. Before you sign up to any casino listed on UltraGambler, check that online gambling is legal where you live and that the casino accepts players from your country. You must be 18 or older (or the legal gambling age in your country, if higher) to play. Only gamble with money you can afford to lose, and use the deposit limits and self-exclusion tools your casino provides if gambling stops being fun.
